Laguna Quays and the Turtle Point Golf Course is classical 1990s Queensland foreign investment gone bad. My favourite is the international airport which got as far as a runway missing bitumen.

Laguna boasts an excellent golf course but little else. Overall it is a literny of broken promises. The "resort" - if you can call it that - has about 120 villas and apartments, a nice swimming pool and an expensive restaurant but no people. If you're a keen golfer you'll enjoy about a day here.
